Blue Tip
Post Mortem Anthem
Dischord
As a curtain call, this record achieves everything Bluetip has been trying to do on previous releases. In this final album, the band has finally made a cohesive record that stands as a whole, rather than three good songs surrounded by fillers. This seems funny seeing how Post Mortem Anthem is actually a collection of previously recorded material. Nevertheless, this record represents the best of Bluetip's short-lived hard-rocking career. Bluetip earns its Dischord stripes through sheer will - these songs practically leap out at you musically and lyrically. But Bluetip is lacking in variety and musical complexity - must-have traits of a successful Dischord band. Thus, the five-years-and-out plan that so many others have chosen.-AW
