Sound most closely resembles: Sevendust meets Tool
Best track: "What I Have To Do"
Boot-stomping mid-tempo guitar riffs drive this mature debut by the Louisville sluggers known as Flaw, who attempt to forge a small cranny of uniqueness in the jam-packed Disturbed/Sevendust/Reveille pigeonhole. Emotion aplenty streams from singer Chris Volz, whose tender-aged cope with his mother's suicide is eerily alluded to in the song "Whole" as well as on the album's cover. Though sometimes borrowing too heavily from Tool in search of creative arrangements, Flaw's first step toward defining itself among a swarm of genre companions is indeed a promising one.-CF
