Glowfriends blend spacious acoustic guitar layers with breathy female vocals to create a comfortable 45-minute listen that establishes these brother/sister pop-folk youngsters as gifted artists with genuine promise. Each of So Glad's 12 tracks have a definitive personality - mostly via multi-instrumentalist Mark Morris' sweet mix of stay-at-home, song-establishing strumming and his mood-enhancing ambient explorations. April Morris' exceptionally pleasant vocals perhaps deserve a wider birth - her lower register's lovely haunt and the sparkle of her towering climbs are too often dynamically restricted by melodic repetition and the arrangments' strict dedication to each song's base key. Expect great things from GFs.
