Chicago’s oh my god. has been infecting the Midwest with its mutated strain of post-electronica organ rock since 1999, when singer Billy O’Neill and organist Iguana began their innovative fusion of cleverly emotive lyrics and melodies with dense, distorted organ lines. Well provides a listening experience far more impactive than a mere collection of linear songs; the album’s reoccurring themes and astute track-to-track movement mimics the expressive mood swerves encompassed in each of the album’s individual songs, which are filled with uncommon hooks.
