The recent death of George Harrison is likely to bring on another rush of Beatlemania; the fact that only two Beatles are left will no doubt have a strong impact on a lot of people. Luckily, they can all rush out and buy the cute Beatle's new record! Paul McCartney has always confounded most of us (Wings, anyone?), but he is still Paul, and he deserves at least a listen. Driving Rain completes a trilogy-style ode to his late wife Linda in heartfelt fashion - this record finds him exploring his art/pop sensibilities and moving away from the boogie-woogie R&B thing with which he had been fooling around. It is a welcome return.-AW
