Much like how alcoholics depend on weekly meetings to strengthen their clean-living resolve, most musicians need their own kind of group therapy after enough time in the music business. Rich Burkholder's informal and wildly popular open mic sessions occur at Stooges every Tuesday night, and this live compilation really represents the spirit of the event. From the raw blues grit of Michael Evans, to the young full-electric punk of Good Question?, to Jason Wood's acoustic Britney Spears covers, diverse artists at all levels of experience contribute to a surprisingly pure celebration of music.
