Wicker Basket Mutate To Survive
Once again, electronic musician Wicker Basket has made an album of stuff you really have to hear to believe. Drum loops and etheric keyboard weirdness abound, and with its fits and starts it refuses to let you use it as background noise. This is a disc you really need to put on and sit in a room fixed with colored lights. Using the sounds of the virtual instruments as much as the patterns they’re playing to paint his musical pictures, Mr. Basket is playful in his approach but deadly serious about exploring sonic possibilities.
