Four Finger Five Soul in a Suitcase

Mixing a strange cocktail of rock ‘n’ roll and soul, this power trio uses some of the weirder artifacts from the 80s, like pairing Stevie Ray Vaughn’s rhythm guitar (and sometimes vocal style) with manicured slap bass and organ to come up with a polished bedrock of blues-festival ready music. The 12 songs on the disc are full of a surprising array of textures for only a trio of musicians, and it moves along without any notable holes or faults.
